When handling containers brought in by tankers from overseas, the allocation of personnel and shift management was done manually, and it took a lot of time to adjust personnel allocation to match the ship's arrival schedule. In addition, it was difficult to grasp the skill level and experience of workers, making it impossible to allocate personnel appropriately for the type of container or work, and emergency communication was inefficient.
System Overview
We have developed a personnel management system specialized for container loading and unloading work. It centrally manages each worker's skill information, years of experience, and specialty tasks, and implements a function that automatically suggests the most suitable person to work for the type of container and the work content. The visual shift management function and the function to contact all workers at once enable quick response when there are changes in the port entry schedule.
effect
The efficient allocation of personnel has significantly reduced management man-hours, and the increased accuracy of skill matching has improved the safety and efficiency of work. The strengthened communication system in emergencies has also improved our ability to respond to changes in ship schedules, resulting in improved productivity for port operations overall.
